College Visions believes that a broad range of activities and programs - from arts opportunities to leadership training - is required to facilitate the successful development of young people. To support this development, we collaborate with a variety of youth-serving organizations in Rhode Island. Staff at our partner organizations assist with student recruitment, college recommendations, program evaluation, and more. Collaborating with this talented network of youth-serving organizations allows College Visions and its partners to leverage the collective investment we've made in young people, sending more Rhode Island youth on to higher education and broad horizons.
College Visions is proud and grateful to partner with:
New Urban Arts (NUA) is a nationally recognized interdisciplinary arts studio for high school students and emerging artists in Providence, RI. NUA's mission is to build a vital community that empowers young people to develop a creative practice they can sustain throughout their lives.
Youth In Action (YIA) is a non-profit youth development organization that has provided opportunities for more than 650 youth to exercise their highest level of leadership. YIA's youth-driven programs have reached more than 10,000 people with health education, street outreach, violence prevention, arts activities and community renovation projects.
Community MusicWorks provides music education to youth of a variety of ages from the West End and South Side neighborhoods of Providence. Based on the conviction that musicians can play an important public service role, Community MusicWorks has created an opportunity for a professional string quartet to build and transform its own urban community.
Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education
The mission of Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education is to provide educational opportunities and mentoring to children of incarcerated parents in order to break the intergenerational cycle of poverty, violence and addiction that often threatens them.

The Providence Housing Authority exists to develop and maintain decent, safe, and sanitary housing, and to address the economic and social needs of residents. PHA Housing is home for more than 5,700 residents.
Young Voices transforms urban youth into powerful advocates who have a voice in every aspect of their lives. Through YV's 7-month Leadership Transformation Academy, youth learn advanced research, public speaking, and debating skills. The Academy prepares youth to work with powerful adults to shape policies that improve the lives of all young people.
The AS220 Broad Street Studio (BSS) is a transitional arts program that employs and engages Rhode Island youth, but focuses specifically on those recently released from the state's juvenile detention facility, the Rhode Island Training School (R.I.T.S.), and those under the wing of the Department of Children, Youth and Families.
College Visions also benefits from the organizational partnership and support of the following groups:
College Visions is an autonomous program operating under the aegis of AS220, which provides strategic planning counsel, development advice, administrative support, office space, connectivity, and fiscal sponsorship. AS220 offers a wealth of institutional knowledge that has been cultivated during its twenty years of innovative work in the Providence arts community.

The National College Advising Corps at Brown seeks to increase the number of low- to moderate-income high school students who enter college and earn bachelor's degrees, by providing college application and financial aid guidance to those students and their families while fostering a culture of college attendance and higher education in Rhode Island's urban communities.
