Simon Moore

Executive Director
simon@collegevisions.org

Simon Moore, the founder of CV, was born and raised in Providence, growing up on the East Side. He attended Providence public schools-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, Nathan Bishop Middle School, and Classical High School-and then went to Brown University, where he co-coordinated the Pre-College Enrichment Program at the Swearer Center for Public Service. After college, Simon briefly escaped Providence and moved to New York where he was a classroom teacher before running the college-advising program at Banana Kelly High School. While living in New York, he was still caught in the Providence tractor beam and returned home each summer to work at Providence Summerbridge. Simon now lives in Washington Park, is a fanatic tea drinker, half-heartedly collects used records, and loves competitive games, especially basketball and Boggle.

Raul Cervantes

CAP Program Director

Raul is proud to be the first member in his family to attend college, and has spent this past year working at a charter school assisting other first-generation minority students. When Raul is not at work he loves watching scary movies, exploring new museums, and eating exotic foods.
