The Results
Despite the many challenges facing our students, College Visions has been tremendously successful in its first three years. The program has helped participants earn admission to college at an exceptionally high rate, enroll in a diverse array of post-secondary institutions, and identify academic, social, and financial support networks at colleges.
The unparalleled achievements of College Visions youth include:
- 95% of College Visions students have enrolled in college.
- 96% of those students are still enrolled in college.
- 83% of College Visions graduates attend four-year institutions.
- 37% of students who enrolled in college attend out-of-state schools.
Over half of College Visions participants enter college through campus-based retention programs such as the Ujima Scholars Program at Northeastern and the Talent Development Program at University of Rhode Island. These programs offer academic, social, and financial support to help ensure continued matriculation and student success in college.
